As well as being open to cruise liner passengers, the church offers an important ministry to the crew members through its Seafarers Centre. The Seafarers Centre, located in the church, exists to enhance and enrich the wellbeing of the seafarers. There is always someone available to help with welfare or spiritual needs. The Seafarers Centre also provides low-cost internet access, card-operated payphonesand phone cards/SIM cards for mobile phones to enable seafarers to contact their loved ones around the world. We are affiliated to the Sailors' Society, a Christian seafarers charity, and through their network of chaplains around the globe are able to assist seafarers if there are welfare issues with their families at home. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks are also provided. In 2011 we took possession of a minibus funded by seafarers charities and the local port authority. It is used to transport seafarers from berths around the Cromarty Firth to the Seafarers Centre in Invergordon or to other local destinations for recreation or shopping.
